Applications: The unique characteristics of this type of Portland NCC cement product is that it is different from any other cement products. It contains a very low amount of Tri-calcium aluminate (C3A) which chemically interacts with sulfate ions existent in the soil and/or water. This prevents the concrete mixture from expanding and the occurrence of cracking in locations and sites with soil of high portion of sulfates.

Uses of Sulfate Resisting Cement:Sulfate resisting cement (SRC) could be used in all types of concrete structures and constructions directly exposed to sulfate attacks or in a sulfate-fed environment; uses of sulfate resisting cement include the followings:

  • All construction works and buildings along coastal areas.
  • Pipes of concrete that are exposed to continuous water flow of high portion of sulfates (Marshes and sewages).
  • Marine constructions or concrete works such as ports, terminals, decks, docks, and coast-roads/ cornices .
  • Foundations/ Basements and underground structures.
  • Water tanks, dams, and barriers constructions and work.

PORTLAND POZZOLANA CEMENT( PPC ) EN 197-1:2011 CEM II/A-P42.5 N

Applications: It is recommended to use the Portland Pozzolana Cement for constructions and structures in areas having soil rich with dissolved salt; constructional and cement-based industries and infrastructure projects located in areas with sandy soil containing free silica.

Examples for Applications or Uses of NCC Portland Pozzolana Cement:

This product could be in block production plants of all kinds; Pipes of concrete that are exposed to continuous water flow of high portion of sulfates (Marshes)- small sewage system plants; small bridges and other structures used to drain flood water in areas with soil of high proportion of sulfate and free silica.

Packages:

The Company's products are packed in bags or containers made of materials that are resistant to and not affected by the change in climate or any other natural phenonoa such as humidity and dryness. These products are easily stored, bagged, packaged, transported and handled.

NCC cement products are produced, distributed and sold in bulks or packed in bags weighing 50 kg.

Quality Control:

NCC quality control of its national cement products means the process of matching and setting NCC cement product's chemical, physical and mechanical properties and specifications to international specifications. This is through testing our products in NCC laboratories equipped with the latest testing and diagnosing instruments, tools and equipment used in international labs and in the cement industry. These cement quality tests are carried out around the clock; that is, throughout the different stages of the manufacturing process:

Quality tests start at the Pre-production :

phase of the raw materials, that is, testing the raw materials extracted from the Company's quarries.

During Production Stages:

Testing starts at the stage of accurate mixing ratios of raw materials, then takes place at the process of firing the raw materials in the furnace and ends with the stage of grinding.

Post-production Stages:

It starts by sending the bulk cement into the silos for storage, and ends by packaging and shipment.

Quality Assurance:

To emphasize the importance of having its products meet and measure up to approved international quality specifications, the Company regularly sends random samples of its NCC final product to be tested and examined in international quality laboratories of European countries.
